New Years Eve Party at the Lightner Museum

Ring in the New Year with live music, champagne toast, and balloon drop in Lightner Museum’s Historic Pool Area from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. as the Museum celebrates the 130th anniversary of the Alcazar Hotel and 70th anniversary of the Lightner Museum!

The New Years Eve Soiree is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased at Proceeds from this event allow the Lightner Museum to continue expanding its program schedule and increase audience engagement.

Ho Ho Holiday Fun with St. Johns County and the YMCA

St. Johns County is partnering with the St. Augustine YMCA to host a free Winter Wonderland event from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16 at the Solomon Calhoun pool, 1300 Duval Street, to celebrate the holidays with fun activities. Castillo by Candlelight: Enemy at the Gates

St. Augustine, FL – Castillo de San Marcos National Monument will host special evening tours on Friday, December 1st. Please join us for a special look into the Siege of 1740. In partnership with the St. Augustine Garrison and Colonial Nightwatch, on the evening of Friday, December 1st, staff and volunteers in 18th century period clothing will tell the stories of
St. Augustine on the brink of its destiny. There will be six nighttime candlelit living history tours that highlight the events of 1740, each lasting roughly 45 minutes. Tours depart from the ticket both at 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, and 8:00 pm. The cost is $10 per adult ages 16 and up, $5 per child ages 5 to 15, and children under 5 free.

Villa Zorayda Candlelight Tours

Join the Villa Zorayda Museum this Holiday Season for our 8th Annual “Candlelight Tours”! These tours are offered on select evenings during St. Augustine’s “Nights of Lights” Celebration from November 25th to January 6th.
The Villa Zorayda Museum is beautifully decorated for the holidays with a spectacular Christmas Tree decorated in the colors of the Zorayda – red and gold – located center stage in the “Court of Lions”. Over 100 candles are aglow throughout the Museum as the docents lead you by candlelight inside the beautiful former Gilded Age House built by Franklin W. Smith in 1883.
The guided tour gives an in-depth look at the historical significance of the building to the City of St. Augustine, the magnificent architecture, as well as descriptions of the many exquisite pieces that you will see. The candles, hanging brass lamps, and Christmas decorations along with the 98% original art and antique display create an amazing effect that can only be defined as “magical”.  Select nights in November thru January.

Luminary Night at the Lighthouse

The highlight of the holiday season at the Lighthouse is Luminary Night, which takes place on the first Wednesday of December.
