Family Movie: Smurfs

In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting race through the Forbidden Forest leading to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history. St. Augustine Half Marathon

The St. Augustine Half Marathon “”The Family Weekend” taking place November 12th & 13th, 2016 will give participants the unique opportunity to run through the history-filled streets of the Old City. It is an official event of the 450 Years of History Celebration which highlights St. Augustine’s historic legacy and also coincides with the annual festival Nights of Lights which is sure to delight and amaze the whole family.

Free Summer Movies by the Bay

Free summer movies on the Bayfront returns Wednesday, June 1st 2016.  All movies begin at 8:30pm and are located behind, The Bayfront Mini Golf Course. A complimentary shuttle will be provided by Ripley’s Red Train Tours from the Red Train stop by the Visitor Center from 7:30pm until 8:20pm.  The shuttle will also return you back to the stop after the film. Admission is free and all you need to bring is chairs or a blanket for seating. The final night, August 3rd, will be our Star Wars themed Back to School Bash! Please check for weather updates, schedule changes and party details.

Velofest Free Bicycle Rodeo

Velofest is hosting a FREE Bicycle Rodeo for the whole family! Parents- do you want to feel reassured about your child’s safety while riding to school or their friends house? VeloFest wants to teach you and your kids about the simple rules that can help keep your whole family safe this summer. Join us for this fun community event starting at 10am at the Soloman Calhoun Center. Food trucks, games and prizes will make for a fun day for the whole family!

VeloFest is partnering with the Sheriff’s Department to provide these FREE services to the public
1. Helmet Fittings by a certified expert
2. Safety Instruction Course (for kids and parents)
3. Bicycle Inspections done by the Sheriff’s Department
4. Games and Prizes for the whole family!

WHO: Kids age 3-18

WHAT TO BRING: Bicycle, Helmet, and a Smile! (bikes and helmets will be provided for those without- first come first serve)

Kids Ocean Day and Environmental Education Fair

Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway, is excited to host the annual Kids Ocean Day and Environmental Education Fair at Washington Oaks! The beautiful park is one of Flagler County’s natural treasurers. All day environmental vendors and exhibits on site. Live stage entertainment all day featuring Michael Jordon, Sam Pacetti, and The Naysayers. Children’s section full of arts and crafts, games, potting project and more. Food provided by Boy Scouts and The Hip Cafe. There will be chance drawings, gift shops and plant sales.

Nature walks and talks, Wild About Birds presentation and much more!

Event included with park entry! 5.00 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees. Correct change is required. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
