With the first day of spring just around the corner, it’s safe to say spring is almost here. Easter falls on April 1st this year and there are plenty of events to celebrate. Your guide to 2018 St. Augustine Easter events happening in and around St. Augustine including local egg hunts, sunrise services, parades, brunch and more!

St Augustine Easter Egg Hunts

Toys R Us Outlet Easter Event at St. Augustine Outlets

Saturday, March 17th and 24th from 1 pm – 3 pm

Make and Take Easter Door Hanger, and an Easter Bunny mask or an Easter Bunny Magnet and meet the Easter Bunny. Quantities are limited and on a first come first serve basis. No purchase necessary!

First United Methodist Eggstravaganza

Wednesday, March 21 from 5 pm – 7 pm

A fun family event free for children ages 0-5th grade. This annual St Augustine Easter tradition is lots of fun. 

Thursday, March 22 from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to gather eggs left underwater in the Solomon Calhoun Pool. Eggs can be traded for prizes at the Bunny Store. Register by calling (904) 704-4644.

Veterans Park Easter Egg Hunt

Thursday, March 29 at 11:00 am

This event is free and open to families with children 8 and younger. Children must bring their own basket for collection. Eggs and treats are provided. A special appearance by the Easter bunny will be at 10:30 a.m. and again after the hunt. Parents are invited to bring their own camera for pictures. Palencia Park Easter Egg Hunt

This event is free and open to families with children 8 and younger. Children must bring their own basket for collection. Eggs and treats are provided. Friday, March 30 at 8 pm and 8:30 pm

Egg hunts aren’t just for kids! Teens can enjoy a special after-dark egg hunt complete with over 2,000 glow-in-the-dark eggs filled with candy. There will also be local food trucks to serve dessert as well as the Game Time Game Truck. Two separate egg hunts will take place at 8 and 8:30pm in Central Park behind City Hall and will include 2 golden eggs per hunt with grand prizes. Students 11+ are invited. Bring your flashlight and stay for Movies in the Park immediately after.

Easter Egg Hunt and Culinary Showcase

Saturday, March 31 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us at Rype and Readi Downtown Farm Market for a wonderful family day! Kid’s ages 2+ will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, games such as Corn Hole, Coral the Pig, Horse Lasso, a Peep’s eating contest & more! Bring your Easter baskets …. Kids activities are free but you MUST pre-register on Eventbrite in order to participate, sorry no ticket available at the door.

We will also have Live Music, Local Artists & Great Food (including lot’s of samples from our local producers) throughout the market! Come and down – there is always something to do, see and taste here at Rype and Readi!

Egg’Stravaganza (Palm Coast)

The hunt is on 10,000+ candy and toy filled eggs. Adventure Landing Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 31 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Special prizes, golden eggs, and Easter specials will all be part of the festivities! There’ll be a surprise visit by the Easter Bunny! Egg hunts in different age groups. Bring your own basket. Space is limited! Registration begins at 8 am. Egg hunts at 9:00 am and 11:00 am for children up to 12 years of age. Each egg hunt is a charity raffle and all eggs have special prizes! $3.00 per child donation benefit The American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corp.

Children (infants through 5th-grade students – BRING YOUR BASKETS) will have an Easter Egg Hunt in the courtyard during the Sunday School hour. Please meet in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 a.m.  Adults are welcome to watch the fun!

Easter Sunday Promenade 2018

Sunday, April 1 at 12 pm

The 62nd Annual Easter Sunday Promenade will celebrate the Easter holiday, St. Augustine history, and the local community. Free and open to everyone, the Easter Promenade is full of outrageous Easter bonnets and festive Easter costumes. Awards are presented in various categories, including Most Creative Hat, Best Dressed Pet, Prettiest Hat, Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Man and Woman, Best Dressed Boy and Girl, Largest Family, and Family from Farthest Away. Prizes will be handed out at the end of the judging. Anyone is welcome to participate in the contests. The event and registration for the contests begin at noon. The promenade will end before the annual Easter Parade at 3 p.m. Last year over $3000 worth of prizes were awarded, such as boat trips, hotel stays, and restaurant dinners for two. These prizes are donated by local merchants and businesses.

St. Augustine Easter Parade

Sunday, April 1 starting at 3:00 pm

The Annual St Augustine Easter Parade begins just north of the Mission of Nombre de Dios location. The parade will then head south along San Marco Avenue and end near the bayfront in the historic downtown district.

Crescent Beach Easter Sunrise Service

Sunday, April 1 at 7:00 am

Greet the Easter sunrise at Crescent Beach. The program, presented by Crescent Beach Baptist Church, begins with the sunrise at 7 a.m. on the beach with special music and an inspiring message.  Get Directions

Vilano Beach Easter Sunrise Service

Sunday, April 1 at 7:00 am

An outdoor worship service on the beach with recorded music as the congregation gathers and a Christian message. Visitors can bring chairs, blankets, and whatever they need to get comfortable on the sand. The worship stage will be near the access ramp on the beach end of Vilano Road. There will be no parking on the beach. Access to Vilano Beach is off Coastal Highway (A1A North), 2 miles due east of the main public library on North Ponce de Leon (US-1). At the traffic light at the east end of the Usina Bridge, turn right towards Vilano Rd.

Easter Breakfast at Open 8:00 a.m. —1:00 p.m.
MPC Members and Visitors of all ages are welcome to enjoy a complimentary breakfast in Fellowship Hall on Easter Sunday morning before or after a service.

St Augustine Easter Brunch

Raintree Restaurant 

Brunch, lunch, and dinner will be served on Easter Sunday. Brunch is served from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and includes a choice of champagne drinks and a continental buffet of breads, muffins, and salads, along with the choice of entrees (Eggs Benedict, Quiche Lorraine, Croque Monsieur, Warm Apple Crepe, and more).

Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille 

Harry’s offers a special menu items on Easter weekend, including Red Fish Alexandria, Blackened Mahi, Shrimp and Scallops Orleans and Praline Cheesecake. 

La Pentola 

Easter menu includes traditional soups, a variety of appetizers, and entrees that include Cornish Hen, Island Shrimp, Lamb, Lobster Crepes, and Steak and Cactus Salad. La Pentola is open from 12 to 8 p.m.

The Reef 

This Easter, combine their great food with spectacular views of the ocean for a spectacular celebration.
