Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we’re sharing a few fun craft ideas for kids to celebrate the holiday. Whether it’s for their classmates or a special Valentine’s gift for a grandparent, there’s a Valentine’s Day craft with everyone in mind.
Pixy Stix Butterflies
To make these butterflies, you’ll need paper heart doilies, Pixy Stix, and plastic wire ties. Wrap the wire tie around the end of one Pixy Stix. Next, fold the paper doily in half to make the wings. Then, glue the Pixy Stix down the center of the doily. These are great for kids to make for their classmates or just for fun to decorate the house.
This craft is a great gift for a teacher, parent or grandparent. Start with cupcake papers, lollipops, and a small vase. We found all these supplies at the Dollar Tree. Push a lollipop stick through the center of a cupcake paper. Bunch up a second cupcake paper and glue it into the first. Repeat until you have a beautiful flower “blossom.” I used four for each of these. Insert into a vase and download this printable to add a personal touch.
Extra Special Valentine
This last Valentine’s Day craft is super easy! This is perfect for your child’s class and can be thrown together quickly in a pinch. Simply print and cut our Valentine printable. Glue packs of ‘Extra’ gum in the blank spot. Then, have your child sign their name and you’re done.
